Job summary

On Track Group Ltd in Cardiff is seeking skilled Rolling Stock Technicians (Electrical/Mechanical) to perform maintenance and servicing on rolling stock, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will inspect, diagnose faults, carry out enhanced maintenance, campaigns, material replenishment, and modification work, while keeping detailed records and safeguarding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in relevant discipline.
• Previous experience as a technician in the rail industry.
• Strong electrical/mechanical and electronic diagnostic and repair skills.
• Working knowledge of rolling stock systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting inspections of rolling stock and identifying any faults or issues
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical/mechanical and electronic faults
• Carrying out enhanced maintenance exam work maintenance tasks
• Ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements

On Track Group is a leading provider of maintenance and servicing solutions for rolling stock in the UK. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rolling Stock (Electrical/Mechanical) Technicians to join our team in Cardiff.

As a Rolling Stock Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of electrical & mechanical maintenance and servicing tasks on rolling stock, ensuring that they are kept in optimal condition and meet all safety and regulatory requirements. This will include conducting inspections, diagnosing, and repairing faults and carrying out enhanced maintenance exam work, completing outstanding campaigns, material replenishment & modification work fitment.
