Job summary

On Track Group Ltd in Crewe is seeking a skilled Rolling Stock Technician (Electrical/Mechanical) to perform inspections, diagnose faults and carry out maintenance on rolling stock. You will work 4-on/4-off days, contributing to high safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship, rail industry experience, and strong diagnostic skills. You will read technical manuals, repair components, replenish materials and collaborate with the team to deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in relevant discipline.
• Previous experience as a technician within the rail industry.
• Strong electrical/mechanical and electronic diagnostic and repair skills.
• Working knowledge of rolling stock systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Rolling stock technician - Crewe ETD

Shift Pattern: 4-On/4-Off (Days)

Pay: £37 per hour

IR35 position: Outside IR35

On Track Group is a leading provider of maintenance and servicing solutions for rolling stock in the UK. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rolling Stock (Electrical/Mechanical) Technician to join our team in Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting inspections of rolling stock and identifying any faults or issues
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical/mechanical and electronic faults
• Carrying out enhanced maintenance exam work maintenance tasks
• Ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and any parts used
• Material replenishment
• Modification work fitment
• Communicating effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate work and resolve any issues
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines

Requirements:
