Ganymede Solutions is working with a leading rail company seeking to recruit a Rolling Stock Technician in Aberdeen. The role involves supporting planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation, playing a key part in maintaining and operating modern passenger trains.

The Role:

As a Rolling Stock Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing inspections and exams on rolling stock
• Following technical guidance (VMI, exam timing) to ensure maintenance and testing are completed accurately and on schedule
• Diagnosing, repairing, and documenting issues on depot
• Completing required documentation for exams
• Assisting colleagues with servicing, fueling, cleaning, etc.

Requirements:

• A Level 3 qualification in engineering or related trades
• At least 3 years' experience in the rolling stock industry
• Ability to interpret modification instructions and technical drawings
• Experience in conducting exams, fault finding, and repairs on modern passenger rolling stock systems
• Right to Work documentation for pre-employment compliance
• A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
• Ability to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
• Ability to pass a comprehensive railway medical (vision, hearing, color vision, cardiovascular, etc.)
• Provide Right to Work documents before deployment
• A helpful and proactive attitude
