Qualifications

Join a major UK Rail company supporting fleet maintenance activities.

Ganymede Solutions is working in partnership with a leading Rail Company to recruit experienced Rolling Stock Technicians to support planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the maintenance and operation of modern passenger fleet.

As a Rolling Stock Technician, you’ll play a key role in the repair and maintenance of the operational passenger fleet. This will include:

• Inspections and exams
• Following technical guidance (VMI, exam timing, etc.) ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time
• Inspection, diagnosis, and repair, along with documentation support of rolling stock on depot
• Completing documentation as required for exams
• Supporting colleagues as needed with servicing, fueling, cleaning, etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Level 3 qualification in any engineering discipline or related trades
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the rolling stock industry
• The ability to follow modification instructions and technical drawings
• Experience in conducting exams and fault finding and fixing on modern passenger rolling stock systems
• The ability to pass a medical and drugs & alcohol test
• Right to work documentation prepared for pre-employment compliance
• A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic
