Job summary

TXM Recruit Limited is seeking a Paint Sprayer to work on rolling stock vehicles in Milton Keynes. You will surface prepare, mix paints, apply finishes with spray guns and ensure a high-quality, durable coat while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Role details include Earlies/Afters at 06:00–22:00 and Nights at 22:00–06:00 with rates of £28.54 per hour (Earlies/Afters) or £32.58 per hour (Nights).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Transport body repair or paint preparation is essential
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent (desirable) but not essential
• Experience in the use of water-based paint is essential

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces prior to painting.
• Painting and Finishing: Mixing paints, applying with spray guns, achieving uniform coverage.
• Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect finished surfaces and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up, calibrate, and maintain spray equipment.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow PPE rules and environmental regulations.
