Job summary

TXM Recruit are recruiting two Paint Sprayers on a temporary outside IR35 contract in Bristol. Start date ASAP. The roles involve prepping and painting carriages, with high-quality prep work and smart paint repairs on rolling stock vehicles.

You'll work day shifts on Monday to Friday, with occasional afternoons; a 50-hour week option at higher rate. Experience in vehicle paint, rail, aerospace, automotive or similar is preferred, and a medical/drug/alcohol test may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in vehicle paint or smart repair.
• Rolling Stock experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety responsibilities.
• Able to pass Medical, Drug & Alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Preparation work: Perform high-quality prep work on carriage paintwork to remove surface defects ready for paint application.
• Smart paint repair: Apply touch ups to paint work using spraying techniques to a high quality standard.

Reports To: Production First Line Manager

Contract duration: Expected duration of 2 years

Hourly pay rate: £23.00Ltd Outside IR35 – Day shift (£1035 per week Limited company).

Shifts: Monday to Friday on Day shift with occasional afternoons at £24.00Ltd per hour (1 week in 4 , 1430 – 0100) totalling a 50 hour week.

Purpose of Post

Rolling Stock Vehicle Prepper & Smart paint repair - We currently have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Sprayers either from body shop or Accident repair background or similar to join a contract with an expected duration of 2 years, the role will be working in Bristol working on Trains.

Working in a train depot you will be required to Prep & Paint exterior/interior of carriages and carry out smart repairs to surfaces.

Job Details:

• Preparation work : Perform high-quality prep work on Carriage paintwork to remove surface defects ready for Paint application
• Smart paint repair: Apply touch ups to paint work in and around the area of work to a quality standard using spraying techniques

Job Experience:

• Experience of working in a vehicle Paint or Smart repair or similar environment in the following industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Rail or other vehicles
• Rolling Stock experience is an advantage
• A working knowledge of H&S responsibilities
• You must comply with the no smoking policy.

Safe operation of spray painting equipment and/or hand tools associated with the manufacture of the commercial vehicles.

You must also be able to pass a Medical, Drug & Alcohol test
