Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer to join their team near Uxbridge. The ideal candidate will have strong paint prep and wet-spray experience in a precision manufacturing setting. You’ll be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to aerospace components and ensuring exceptional standards throughout the process. This is a permanent role with a salary of £38,500, including benefits like a pension and healthcare plan.

• Flexible and able to work an alternating double-day shift pattern.

Paint Sprayer

Salary: £38,500 (including shift uplift)

Location: Near Uxbridge

Hours: Double-day shift – 06:00–14:00 and 13:45–22:00

Job Type: Permanent

We're supporting a leading British engineering business that’s looking to add an experienced Paint Sprayer to its finishing department. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong paint prep and wet-spray experience who’s comfortable working to tight technical specifications in a precision manufacturing environment.

You’ll be working with a variety of detailed aerospace components, applying high-quality sprayed finishes and supporting the wider team to maintain exceptional standards across the finishing process.

Paint Sprayer Duties

• Preparing and cleaning components prior to painting
• Applying gloss, matt, primer and topcoat finishes using hand-held spray guns
• Operating ovens to set temperatures/times with full batch traceability
• Masking components using tapes, plugs and bungs to engineering drawings
• Unmasking parts, checking surfaces, and touching in any defects
• Inspecting paint finish, thickness and gloss using visual and automated methods
• Flushing, checking and maintaining spray equipment and pumps
• Cleaning and re-lining the paint booth; safe disposal of waste

Paint Sprayer Profile

• Demonstrable paint spraying and surface prep experience
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/technical specs
• Basic IT skills and competent with hand tools
• Understanding of H&S and COSHH relating to hazardous substances
• Flexible and able to work an alternating double-day shift pattern
