Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Robotics Deployment Field Operations Engineer to own end-to-end vendor management across system integrators, contract manufacturers, and service providers.

You will drive vendor strategy, qualification, performance management, budgeting, and on-site deployment support, coordinating with Supply Chain, Global Procurement, and site operations across multiple technologies and geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• Experience in procurement, vendor management, negotiations and bidding
• Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication to engage with technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to write clear, detailed requirement documents and read engineering drawings
• Preferred: Master’s degree and BI analytics tools familiarity

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with new and existing vendors and drive adherence to success criteria
• Develop vendor qualification protocols and contracts and represent Amazon in meetings with senior executives
• Set goals and strategic direction aligned with business goals including cost reductions and quality improvements
• Establish KPIs for vendor services and present reports on performance and issues
• Develop business cases and manage capital budgets for projects and partnerships
• Address safety/quality/performance gaps and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with technical leaders to influence product improvement roadmaps
• Lead program management and meetings with vendors
• Travel to engage with vendors and capture insights for strategy
