Job summary

Terex is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator for heavy engineering fabrication in the UK. You will weld crusher frames and sub-assemblies and operate the Cloos Robot System with full training provided.

You must read engineering drawings, maintain high quality, and adhere to health and safety standards. Training will cover TIG dressing, shot blasting, and related duties in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
• Experienced in welding within a heavy engineering environment.
• Experience in multi run welding.
• Overhead crane license and sling training are preferred but training will be provided.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, especially welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Welding of crusher main frames and other sub-assemblies.
• Accurate and efficient running of the Cloos Robot System (full training will be given).
• TIG dressing on main frames as required.
• Shotblast.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, particularly welding symbols.
• Be responsible for own quality and process checks to maintain standards.
• Comply with Health and Safety laws, processes and procedures.
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate to the role.
