Fusion People are recruiting a Robot Welding Operative to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Dungannon. This permanent night-shift role involves operating robotic welding equipment and reading engineering drawings to ensure products meet exact specifications.

You will perform routine maintenance, record measurements, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while upholding high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Good IT skills and experience with Windows-based systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Load and unload components onto robotic welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up and operate robotic welding machinery per production requirements.
• Use measuring equipment to verify dimensions and weld quality.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure specs are met.
• Carry out routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and update MRP records.
• Report quality issues or non-conformances promptly.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Job Title: Robot Welding Operative
Location: Dungannon, County Tyrone
Job Type: Permanent
Shift: Nights (Mon to Thu - 16:45 to 03:15)

We are currently recruiting for a Robot Welding Operative to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Dungannon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment operating advanced robotic welding technology.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, understand and accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Load and unload components onto robotic welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up and operate robotic welding machinery in accordance with production requirements.
• Use measuring equipment accurately to verify component dimensions and weld quality.
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Complete routine daily and weekly maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a safe, organised and clean work area at all times.
• Accurately update and utilise the company’s MRP system.
• Report quality issues, defects or non-conformances promptly.
• Contribute to root cause analysis activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good IT skills, including confidence using Windows-based systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience within the hydraulics sector.
• Previous robotic welding or automated manufacturing experience.
• Experience working with quality standards and inspection processes.
• Knowledge of MRP systems.
