Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Dungannon is seeking an experienced Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business. You will produce high-quality welds in line with engineering drawings, quality standards and production targets while maintaining a safe, efficient workplace.

The role requires MIG welding skills, ability to read CAD drawings, and a proactive approach to quality and housekeeping. Various day or night shifts are available with competitive pay and full PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Carry out MIG welding to a consistently high standard.
• Operate workshop equipment and hand-held power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform in-process quality inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Update and engage with the company's MRP system as required.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Work efficiently to achieve production and performance targets.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, attendance and professionalism.
• Undertake additional duties, within reason and capability, as required by the Team Leader.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Dungannon.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds in line with engineering drawings, quality standards and production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Carry out MIG welding to a consistently high standard.
• Operate workshop equipment and hand-held power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform in-process quality inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Update and engage with the company's MRP system as required.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Work efficiently to achieve production and performance targets.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, attendance and professionalism.
• Undertake additional duties, within reason and capability, as required by the Team Leader.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a welding/fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and AutoCAD drawings.
• Proven experience carrying out high-quality MIG welding.
• Experience operating workshop machinery and hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Flexible approach to work and business requirements.

Desirable Criteria

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Welding, Fabrication, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience within a precision engineering environment.
• Experience working with hydraulic components or systems.
• Fully coded welder certification.
• Knowledge or experience of automated welding processes.

Pay Rates (DOE)

• Day Shift - Circa £18 per hour
• Night Shift - Circa £23 per hour

Working Hours

• Day Shift - Monday to Thursday - 07:30 to 16:30, Friday - 07:30 to 13:30
• Night Shift - Monday to Thursday - 16:45 to 03:15, Friday OFF
