Job summary

Dyer Engineering is seeking a Robot Welding Operator in Stanley to operate and maintain robotic welding machines for high‑quality output. You'll perform machine operation, quality inspections, basic maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience with MIG/TIG welding.

Qualifications

  • Basic or intermediate welding and fabrication experience (MIG, TIG preferred).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with robotic welding systems (FANUC, ABB, Motoman) is highly desirable.
  • Proficient with inspection tools such as verniers, callipers, weld gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination.
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.
  • Commitment to safety and clean working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment.
  • Loading and unloading metal parts into welding fixtures.
  • Dressing and finishing welded parts using grinders and scrapers.
  • Changing welding fixtures and loading the correct programmes.
  • Performing visual and dimensional checks using gauges and measuring tools.
  • Reporting welding defects and collaborating with team leaders for resolutions.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation through computer‑based systems.

Hourly Rate: Up to £13.54 per hour (DOE)

Shifts: DS/NS rotation – 2 weeks of days / 2 weeks of nights

Job Description
