Job summary

RAC is hiring a Nights Roadside Technician in Bournemouth, covering local areas. You will perform diagnostics, roadside repairs, and breakdown support across the UK, starting and ending your day from home.

RAC provides a van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit. We look for NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience, plus 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, and a clean UK driving license.

• A market competitive base salary of £42,921.87, (Inclusive of night allowance) complimented by an average OTE ranging from £43,000 to £53,000.

Where you'll work

You’ll be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas like Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, Swanage. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

What you'll need

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience

• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside - combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service.

We’ll set you up for success from day one, with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
