Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across local areas, delivering fast, confident service to members.

You'll start and finish your day at home, using RAC vans and tech to reach sites across your region. A strong base salary (£42,921.87) with realistic OTE (£43k–£53k) reflects your expertise and commitment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• As a Roadside Technician, deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, travelling to customers and providing quick, confident solutions.

Where you'll work

You'll be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas like Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, Swanage. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.
