Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start with demand-led shifts and average around 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and improve service.
