Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform expert roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support nationwide. You will start and finish at your home address, with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided to you for daily calls.

Expect a market base salary of £36,400 with an achievable OTE around £60k–£61k, plus overtime and bonuses. You’ll operate locally from the Cheltenham cluster while covering surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and end your day at home
• Provide quick, confident solutions to members in their local area
