Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and be part of a nationwide service network. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing your day from your driveway.

Expect a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE around £61,000, plus overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment. We provide a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit from day one.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post-qualification technical experience.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home and tackle challenges head-on with a RAC van and equipment provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
• Work around demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
