Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Roadside Technician to join our Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare area operations. You will diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs in a patrol vehicle, with a 4-day weekly schedule and a company van provided.

The role requires a full UK driving licence (up to 5 points) and relevant automotive qualifications or equivalent workshop experience, along with the right to work in the UK. Generous benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults at the roadside.
• Carry out roadside repairs to get customers moving again.
• Test and replace vehicle batteries and perform tyre changes.
• Provide fuel assistance where required and explain faults clearly to customers.

Roadside Technician – Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare & surrounding

We are recruiting for an experienced Roadside Technician, Mobile Vehicle Technician, Breakdown Technician or Vehicle Technician looking to move from a workshop into roadside assistance. Applicants must have a Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 5 points), hold a relevant Level 2 automotive or mechanical qualification or have at least 5 years' workshop experience as a time-served Vehicle Technician, be confident working independently and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare & surrounding

Salary: £37,740 Basic + Annual Bonus up to £4,530 OTE: £42,270

Hours: 40 hours per week | 4 days on, 3 days off | Shifts between 7am–8pm

• Relevant Level 2 NVQ Diploma, IMI or City & Guilds qualification in automotive maintenance, vehicle repair or mechanical engineering (or equivalent), with certificates available
• Alternatively, at least 5 years' workshop experience as a time-served Vehicle Technician
• Confident diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs independently
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 5 points
• Right to work in the UK

Previous roadside experience is not essential. Experienced workshop-based Vehicle Technicians looking to move into a mobile role are encouraged to apply.
