Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Roadside Technician (field based) in Warrington. You will respond to roadside incidents, perform mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, and use diagnostic tools to identify issues and options.

The role requires a Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance (Level 3 preferred) and at least 2 years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with up to 5 points. A company van and fuel card are provided.

Formación

• Must have Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair; Level 3 preferred but not required (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles in workshop or mobile roles.
• Full UK driving licence with max 5 points; no bans.

Responsabilidades

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs, including battery changes and wheel changes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible to maintain member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments.

Roadside Technician (Field based) providing roadside assistance for a national breakdown company with over 15 million members. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Pay / salary: £36,400 Basic + Bonus + Overtime at £26.25ph + Company Van + Fuel Card + Tools Provide OTE in excess of £61,000+ (Top Performers earning a lot more! For e.g. 70k+)

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role

Monday - Sunday, 40 hours per week, between 6am and 12pm (could be 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm etc, shifts vary). You get your rota 12 months in advance, so you can plan accordingly. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van.

What you'll need to a be considered for the Roadside Technician role

• Must have a minimum of a Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair, ideally Level 3 but will consider level 2. (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum of 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
