Job summary

The AA in Peterborough is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to cover a 40-hour week with flexible shifts. The role offers a base salary of £42,976 including location allowance and a total OTE of up to £60,000 for top performers.

You will apply an NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair along with a full driving licence (6 points max) to diagnose and fix issues on the roadside, ensuring safe outcomes for members.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience.
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.

• Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home.
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.
