The AA is hiring a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our team across the UK. You will start and finish from your driveway, operating a van to assist members, with independent work across varied locations while staying part of a supportive team.

We expect NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience, plus a valid category B licence (6 points max). You’ll handle on-the-road challenges with strong communication and flexible scheduling.

• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology—we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
