Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join its nationwide team in the United Kingdom. You will be the friendly face of the country’s largest motoring organisation, delivering fast roadside repairs and ensuring drivers get back on the road safely, anytime, anywhere and in any weather.

Expect a 40-hour week with shift options and a guaranteed year 1 earnings of £38,270, with OTE up to £60,000 for top performers.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience
• Full category B driving licence, 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway, paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team
• Using technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What will I be doing?

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
