Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our frontline team. You’ll start and finish your shift from home or depot, working independently across varied locations to help members on the roadside, using your technical knowledge and calm approach to resolve problems.

You’ll be the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation, with a 40-hour week, flexible shift patterns, and guaranteed earnings of £39,429 in year one, with potential to earn up to £60,000 for top performers.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience.
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.

• Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home.

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.
