Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join the UK's largest motoring organisation. You will start and finish shifts from your driveway, earning pay from door to door, and work across diverse locations while contributing to a supportive team environment.

You will rely on your technical knowledge and strong communication to create a positive customer experience on every call. Flexibility is essential to cover evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with comprehensive benefits including

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with experience
• Full Category B driving licence with 6 points or less
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Work independently across varied locations while being part of a supportive team

Job description

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select. As our Roadside Rescue Mechanic, you'll go the extra mile for our members. Anything can happen whilst driving, but we are the AA and we get everyone back on the road safely so the show can go on. More importantly you'll be the friendly face of the UK's largest motoring organisation. To our members, you're the superhero. Ready for anything, you'll be there for them, anytime, anywhere and in any weather. You'll get their day moving again, forging confidence for drivers now and for the future. What will I be doing?

• Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home.
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.
• Using your technical knowledge and clear communication to help ensure a positive customer experience.
• Solving problems on the spot, using your technical skills and calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations. NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It's essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we'll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
