Job summary
WSP in the Roads team invites a Senior Technical Director to lead delivery of large-scale road schemes, shape technical direction, and strengthen client relationships in Scotland & North East. You will manage multi-disciplinary technical teams, act as Design Manager on complex projects, drive quality audits, and contribute to bids and business development.
We seek a Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE or CIHT) with extensive highways experience, delivered programs, and a track record of technical
Qualifications
- Experience leading large technical teams.
- Proven delivery leadership and financial control of major roads programmes.
- Track record as Design Manager on major roads projects with multi-disciplinary designs.
- Broad civil/ highways project experience.
- Understanding of CDM and designers’ duties.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical project teams to deliver scope on time and within budget.
- Act as Design Manager on complex, multi-disciplinary road schemes.
- Provide technical leadership and audits from the Liverpool office.
- Oversee the technical preparation, reviews and drawings for contract documentation.
- Lead bids and business development efforts and collaborate with other WSP teams.
