Job summary

Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable HGV Class 2 Road Sweeper Driver to join their team in Quarrington. The role offers stable, long-term employment with weekday hours and a good work-life balance.

You'll operate a road sweeper vehicle to high standards, complete daily checks, and report defects promptly. Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm, with no weekend work and a £15.50 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous road sweeper experience is desirable but not essential, training will be provided.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and vehicle defect reporting.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate a road sweeper vehicle across designated routes and work areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Complete vehicle inspection reports and route documentation accurately.
• Work safely and comply with transport, road traffic and health & safety regulations.
• Provide a professional and courteous service while representing the company.
• Support the wider transport and depot team when required.

The Role

As a Road Sweeper Driver, you'll be responsible for operating a specialist road sweeper vehicle safely and efficiently while ensuring the site remains clean and well maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a road sweeper vehicle across designated routes and work areas
