Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited is recruiting a Multi Skilled Road Surfacing Operative based at Cross Green, Leeds, covering Yorkshire and surrounding region. This hands-on, safety critical role delivers high quality surfacing on major highways projects.

Reporting to the Gang Supervisor, you’ll operate surfacing plant, lay coated materials to specification, perform daily checks and maintain site housekeeping while upholding health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in road surfacing and laying coated materials on highways.
• Proven ability to operate surfacing plant with relevant tickets.
• Experience on large infrastructure or motorway projects.
• CSCS card preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate road surfacing plant and equipment (pavers, rollers, tractors).
• Lay coated materials to specifications and BS tolerances.
• Carry out day-to-day plant checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain high housekeeping and comply with safety rules.
