Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Leeds is seeking a hands-on road surfacing operative to join a multi-skilled team delivering high quality infrastructure works across Yorkshire. You will operate pavers, rollers and other plant, lay asphalt to BS tolerances, carry out daily plant checks, maintain housekeeping and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in asphalt laying and road surfacing.
• CSCS card preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a gang.
• Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate road surfacing plant and equipment (pavers, rollers, tractors, chippers).
• Lay coated materials to specifications and BS tolerances.
• Carry out daily plant checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards on site.
