Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking a Vehicle Safety Operator to join our on-road testing program. You will run real-world driving experiments, monitor AI systems, and feed feedback to our R&D teams to improve safety and performance.

You will work with a world-class operations group across the UK, helping to uphold stringent safety standards while learning cutting-edge AI-driven vehicle testing in a fast-paced environment at Wayve.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held and valid.
• 8+ years of driving experience, mostly in the UK.
• No blameworthy insurance claims in past 3 years.
• Strong communication and empathy for others.
• Able to work alone and in a team.
• Adaptable and solution-focused in dynamic environments.
• Proficient with MS Office or Google Suite.
• Basic navigation, touchscreen gestures and app usage.
• Ability to connect to Wi‑Fi and adjust device settings.
• Willing to disclose any secondary employment as required.

Responsibilities

• Be part of operations to test Wayve vehicles across the UK.
• Monitor AI and respond to hazards to ensure safe testing.
• Evaluate AI during tests and provide feedback to researchers.
• Provide real-world driving examples to train AI before public road tests.
• Support safety and engineering teams by maintaining high safety standards.
