Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking a Vehicle Validation Engineer to enable real-world deployment of end-to-end AI driving systems. You will ensure vehicles are test-ready and data from tests drives fast, reliable development.

Joining early, you’ll shape validation approaches, improve testing processes, and work with engineering, product, and operations to push the boundaries of what’s possible in autonomous driving. This role is hybrid with office presence in London.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing structured vehicle tests in proving ground or real-world environments.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear test cases and validation plans.
• Familiarity with vehicle networks and diagnostic protocols is a plus.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to improving processes and tooling.
• Understanding of safety-critical testing practices and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute vehicle tests to support development, validation, benchmarking, and real-world deployment.
• Develop and improve vehicle validation test concepts to evaluate system performance across real-world scenarios.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to translate testing needs into active test activities.
• Ensure vehicles are prepared, maintained, and ready for safe and efficient testing.
• Deliver high-quality test data, performance reporting, and actionable insights for rapid iteration.
• Provide detailed feedback on vehicle behaviour, driving performance, and system gaps from technical and customer perspectives.
• Conduct benchmarking to track progress over time and drive improvements.
• Develop testing processes, documentation, and operating best practices as the team scales.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and service partners.
