Sussex Police in the Guildford area seeks a Safety Camera Officer to help reduce road casualties and enforce camera offences. You will be part of a friendly team near Guildford, contributing to Surrey RoadSafe and using police databases from day one.

The role requires a full valid driving licence, ability to pass driving assessment, and strong data analysis. A calm, flexible approach and commitment to deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience using databases for administrative purposes (≥ 2 years) and willingness to train on police systems.
• Methodical mind with ability to analyse large quantities of data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for public enquiries and accurate records.
• Full valid driving licence and ability to pass the Force’s Driving Assessment.
• Knowledge of current legislation on camera detected offences (Home Office circulars, NPCC, Surrey Police policy).
• Highly motivated to work to tight timescales in a calm, flexible manner.
• Aptitude for operating technology and demonstrable problem-solving.
