Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator for either imports or exports, based in Leeds. You will manage European road movements from booking through delivery, with responsibility for transit docs and customs declarations post-Brexit.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in European road freight forwarding operations (imports or exports).
• Solid grasp of post-Brexit customs procedures, Incoterms, and transit declarations.
• Experience with freight software such as CargoWise or EDI Enterprise.
• Strong communication and problem-solving under tight transport cutoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own European road import or export shipments from booking to delivery.
• Prepare transit documentation and UK/EU customs declarations.
• Coordinate with transport operators to track movements and optimize routes.
• Serve as primary contact for key client accounts and provide updates.
• Oversee costing, invoicing, and margin protection.
