Aufgaben

• Coordinate international road shipments across Europe.
• Handle client requests for quotations and liaise with carriers.
• Manage all bookings and keep clients informed on shipment progress.
• Prepare necessary documentation including CMRs and invoices.
• Prepare and issue all necessary documentation, including CMRs, transit papers, certificates, invoices, and customs forms as required.
• Forward instructions to carriers and ensure documentation is returned and processed correctly.
• Monitor shipments to meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure cargo is released only with the correct documentation and cleared payments for non-credit accounts.
• Review and query supplier invoices when necessary, forwarding details to accounts.

We’re looking for a hands-on Road Freight Operator to join our clients Bradford team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating international road shipments across Europe, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle client requests for quotations for European road freight shipments, liaising with carriers, agents, and suppliers to provide competitive pricing.
• End to end management of road freight shipments.
• Manage all bookings, entering shipment information into the system and coordinating with partners and carriers to arrange transportation.
• Keep clients informed on shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and issue all necessary documentation, including CMRs, transit papers, certificates, invoices, and customs forms as required.
• Forward instructions to carriers and ensure documentation is returned and processed correctly.
• Monitor shipments to meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure cargo is released only with the correct documentation and cleared payments for non-credit accounts.
• Review and query supplier invoices when necessary, forwarding details to accounts.

Ideal Candidate Experience

• Previous experience in European road freight operations.
• Experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder.
• Groupage an advantage, but not essential
• Knowledge of road freight documentation, including CMRs and customs paperwork.
