Distinct Consultancy in Wythenshawe is seeking a Road Export Operator to coordinate export transportation for road freight. You will manage end-to-end operations, schedule shipments, and negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost-effective, compliant movement of goods.

The role requires 3+ years in road freight, strong logistics knowledge, and proficiency with Cargowise. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in Road Freight.
• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics including freight forwarding, customs procedures and compliance.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable rates.
• Accurate data entry for shipment tracking and documentation.
• Experience using Cargowise.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations for movement of regulated goods.
• Ability to coordinate with 3PL providers while handling multiple shipments.

Responsibilities

My client a well established Global Freight Operator are looking for a Road Export Operator to join their team. In this role you will coordinate and manage the export transportation processes for road freight, ensuring seamless movement of goods across borders and regions. As Road Freight Operator you will:

• Manage end-to-end export operations for road freight, including scheduling, documentation, and carrier coordination
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to plan routes, track shipments, and optimize delivery schedules
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and customs requirements
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to facilitate smooth transportation workflows
• Enter accurate data into the CRM
• Negotiate rates and service terms with carriers to secure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high service quality

Experience as Road Freight Operator:

• At least 3 years experience in Road Freight
• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, including freight forwarding, customs procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favourable rates and service agreements with carriers
• Skilled in data entry with high accuracy to ensure reliable shipment tracking and documentation
• Experience using Cargowise
• Knowledge of FDA regulations related to the transportation of regulated goods
• Ability to coordinate with 3PL providers effectively while managing multiple shipments simultaneously
