Job summary

White Recruitment Limited are recruiting a Road Freight Operator in Leeds to join their Import & Export team. The role covers day-to-day management of Import and Export shipments, building strong customer relationships and ensuring freight moves efficiently from start to finish.

You will handle quotations, customs entries, liaise with customers and suppliers, prepare shipping docs, and mentor junior team members as required.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in freight forwarding, especially road freight operations.
• Strong knowledge of Import/Export procedures.

Road Freight Operator

Leeds | Up to £35,000 | Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm | Permanent

My client is an established, privately owned freight forwarding business with a long-standing presence in the Leeds market and a strong customer base across the UK.

Due to continued requirements within their Operations team, they are now looking for an experienced Road Freight Operator to join their Import & Export department.

This is a varied role suited to an experienced freight forwarding professional who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish, building strong customer relationships and taking on additional responsibility within a close-knit team.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Import and Export shipments, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure freight moves efficiently and accurately.

• Salary up to £35,000, depending on experience

Key responsibilities will include:

About You

The successful candidate will have solid experience within freight forwarding, ideally with a strong background in road freight operations and Import/Export.

You will be confident dealing directly with customers and suppliers and comfortable managing multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
