We are actively seeking shipping, freight, and European road transport professionals with a passion for freight forwarding for a new role as a Road Freight Forwarder in Nottinghamshire!

Our client is a SME freight forwarding company with ambitious growth plans in the freight & shipping industry. You will join a fast-paced environment, helping find logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail, and FMCG clients. The company focuses on air freight, sea freight, and road freight solutions that are cost-effective and solution-driven.

Job Description

As a Road Freight Forwarder, you will report to the Road & European Freight Manager daily. Your responsibilities across the Nottinghamshire office include:

• Managing pricing, quoting, booking, and file monitoring for freight across import & export road freight to and from EU and Turkey.
• Preparing road freight pricing and customer quotations, including freight prices, port charges, document costs, insurance, and handling charges.
• Organizing road transport through third-party transit providers throughout Europe and Turkey.
• Providing transportation solutions with adequate load capacity, adhering to WTD and VOSA regulations.
• Handling customs entries (EUR1's / ATR1's) and arranging billing for VAT/Duties.
• Ensuring customs clearance procedures are followed.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the road freight forwarding industry. The ideal Road Freight Forwarder will possess:

• At least 2 years of experience in road freight forwarding and transport planning.
• A relevant degree or strong interest in logistics & freight industry.
• Experience in pricing, quotations, and planning customer deliveries within UK and EU road freight.
• Desirable but not essential: experience with customs compliance.
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous.
• Must be able to commute to Nottinghamshire.
