Offering a salary of up to £52,000 per year, plus car allowance.

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Fully office-based in Tamworth, with occasional client visits.

Our client is a successful Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation eager to recruit a Multimodal Freight Manager to oversee their Multimodal Operations team in Tamworth.

This role is with a leading Freight and Global Logistics company known for providing unrivalled service in the transportation of Freight by Air, Sea, or Road.

We are seeking a Multimodal Freight Manager familiar with Import and Export Multimodal Operations procedures. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of Freight Forwarding and lead their team effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Imports, Exports, Cross-trades by Air, Sea, or Road).
2. Continuously seek process improvements to increase team efficiency.
3. Collaborate with customer service teams to develop customer growth and identify new opportunities.
4. Conduct face-to-face meetings, including appraisals and 121s.
5. Manage daily departmental workload and delegate duties.
6. Review work processes to identify trends and develop solutions.
7. Oversee branch operations, including Health & Safety, Security, and Compliance.
8. Control operational costs.
9. Ensure operational excellence and support Learning and Development initiatives for the team.

We are looking for an operationally-focused Freight Manager with experience in Multimodal Operations and strong people management skills. Candidates with experience as Air or Ocean Managers considering a move into Multimodal Operations are encouraged to apply.
