Ocean Freight Forwarder

Location: Tamworth
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established freight forwarding and logistics company that provides comprehensive global cargo solutions. With a strong industry presence, they specialise in ocean, air, and road freight, as well as warehousing and supply chain management. Their focus is on delivering efficient and cost-effective services tailored to customer needs.

The Role

As an Ocean Export Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for managing international ocean freight shipments and ensuring seamless export operations. Key responsibilities include:

1. Handling ocean export bookings and liaising with shipping lines and carriers
2. Preparing and verifying export documentation, including bills of lading, customs entries, and invoices
3. Tracking shipments and providing regular status updates to customers
4. Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and internal policies
5. Coordinating with overseas agents, suppliers, and internal departments
6. Managing and resolving shipping or customs-related issues efficiently

What We're Looking For

1. Experience in ocean exports within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
2. Strong knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures
3. Excellent communication and organisational skills
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple priorities
