Job summary

WR Logistics in Bradford is seeking an experienced Road Freight Forwarder to manage European road freight imports or exports from booking to delivery. You will liaise with customers, hauliers, overseas partners and internal teams to ensure accurate records and competitive transport rates.

The role offers a choice of three working patterns and a secure position within a growing multisite company, with genuine opportunities for career progression and a modern office environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in either road freight imports or exports.
• Good knowledge of European road freight operations.
• Confident communicating with customers, hauliers and overseas partners.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.

Responsibilities

• Managing European road freight import or export shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, overseas partners and internal departments.
• Preparing transport documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Producing quotations and securing competitive transport rates.
• Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving delays or operational issues.
• Providing regular updates and a high standard of customer service.
• Developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Road Freight Forwarder

Location: Bradford

Salary: Up to £37,000, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, with a choice of 8:00am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5:00pm or 9:00am-5:30pm
