Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Supervisor:

• Ensure the health and well-being of residents by supervising nursing care during your shift, overseeing nursing staff, and performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing Services.

About Elderwood at Liverpool

• Located near Syracuse, NY, in a peaceful community near Onondaga Lake, Elderwood at Liverpool offers skilled nursing care, short-term therapies, and memory care programs for residents with dementia.

Responsibilities

RN Nursing Supervisor:

• Respond promptly to residents’ requests.
• Supervise nursing staff and care services on all units during your shift.
• Promote facility safety programs.
• Potentially serve as the Infection Preventionist Nurse.
• Cover nursing services in the absence of the Assistant or Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with dementia care is a plus.

This role involves regular interaction with residents, staff, visitors, and supervisors. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
