Job summary

CYGNET’s Oaklands is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD/RGN) to deliver outstanding care in a specialist learning disability service in Hexham, United Kingdom. The role offers a permanent contract with a 42-hour week, including day, night and weekend shifts, within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

You will perform nursing assessments, develop and audit care plans, participate in CPD, and ensure safe administration of medications.

Qualifications

• Current NMC PIN and valid registration.
• Experience in mental health or learning disability care.
• Strong documentation and audit skills.
• Commitment to patient recovery and risk management.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Produce written reports from nursing assessments and observations.
• Collaborate with management to develop the service and improve quality.
• Attend training and engage in CPD to enhance nursing practice.
• Maintain care plans with patients, relatives and other professionals.
• Safe administration of medication following guidelines.
• Provide direction and support to junior team members.
