Job summary

Cygnet Group's Thornfield Grange in Bishop Auckland is looking for experienced Bank Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) and Bank Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) with a current UK PIN to deliver outstanding care in a specialist residential service. We support adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs, including those with challenging behaviours.

Qualifications

• Active RMN or RNLD with a current UK PIN.
• Experience in mental health or learning disability settings.
• Understanding of Mental Health Act 1983 and modern nursing practices.
• Ability to deputise in a clinical lead role.

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Work with management to audit, develop the service, and improve quality.
• Attend training and CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
• Ensure individual care plans are complete with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines in line with procedures and guidelines.
