Job summary

Priory Hospital Chelmsford is seeking a Bank Mental Health Nurse to join our Nursing team on a permanent full-time basis. The post involves delivering prescribed care, conducting assessments, and supporting individual treatment plans within a compassionate multidisciplinary setting.

You will work with adults and adolescents, ensuring patient dignity and wellbeing while following NMC guidelines and completing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will be a qualified RMN with active NMC registration and 6–12 months post-registration experience.
• Completion of a preceptorship programme is preferred.
• Knowledge of NMC guidelines and ongoing professional development are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed nursing care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
• Assess, plan and deliver nursing care with patients and their carers/families, acting as the named nurse where appropriate.
• Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess needs and progress.
• Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
