Job summary

Amazon Southampton is seeking an Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to keep a wide range of site equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support on-site apprentices, enabling continuous improvement across EU sites.

You will work on diverse equipment within a fast-paced distribution environment, following health and safety standards and collaborating with contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 4-year UK certified apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., NVQ/SVQ/IVQ/City & Guilds/EAL Level 3) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Relevant experience as a qualified engineer in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
• Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
• Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
• Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites.
