Job summary

Phyllis Court Club in Henley-on-Thames is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead the Food & Beverage team, delivering exceptional service and wine recommendations to our Members and Guests.

The role requires 40 hours a week with shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays; candidates should have proven leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach. Training and rota planning are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organised approach to work, ability to prioritise in a busy environment, and delegate when required.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver an exceptional experience to our Members and Guests and to ensure the highest levels of service.
• Oversee and lead food and beverage events, and other day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to high standards.
• Monitor all restaurant sales ensuring Members and Guests receive prompt and accurate service in accordance with Club standards and correct charging.
• Identify team member and Member needs and respond proactively to all concerns in line with Club policies and SOPs.
• Ensure that all food and beverage assistants are tasks in line with business needs.
• Ensure billing is done correctly and in accordance with company policy and be available for queries regarding guest issues.
• Complete rotas on a monthly basis.
