An established industry player is seeking a Risk Project Manager to lead critical projects in risk management. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project costs align with departmental plans and overseeing the timely delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit and market risk, coupled with excellent project management skills. · Knowledge of related change delivery: Good understanding of risk management functions such as daily production of VAR, PFE, adjustments, signoffs, stress testing, back testing, limits management; and system components such as time series data, scenario generations, risk appetite, model risk management - all in the context of home and host regulatory obligations.
· Investment project allocations agreement: Working across stakeholders to agree on project costs (budget, increase to ongoing expense budget) and benefits, and gaining commitment that these costs are factored into their department business plans.
· Delivery resource review and attestation of on-time project / programme delivery (“doability”): Working across resource supply teams to confirm the availability of required capacity to deliver the portfolio; overseeing project manager progress to secure resources or re-plan project delivery timelines, avoiding “crisis escalation” except in genuine cases of inability to secure a rare skillset.
