Job summary

DRW seeks a Risk Product Analyst to join our team and collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quant Researchers across multiple asset classes. You’ll diagnose and resolve risk/valuation issues by tracing causes through applications, APIs, databases, and services, while continuously improving tooling and processes.

You will build strong knowledge of trading systems, risk infrastructure, and data dependencies, delivering timely, data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of financial products and markets.
• Experience in trade support or trading technology in a production environment.
• Ability to write Python and SQL to investigate issues.
• Familiarity with production diagnostic tooling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quantitative Researchers across desks as primary contact for risk/valuation issues.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across applications, APIs, databases, messaging systems and underlying services.
• Monitor system and trading issues and prioritize incidents based on potential impact to trading and P&L.
• Elevate unresolved issues to appropriate engineering/quantitative/infrastructure teams with clear diagnoses.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to identify recurring problems and drive technology solutions.
• Develop tools and scripts in Python to automate diagnostics and improve workflows.
• Build understanding of trading and risk infrastructure and dependencies.
