Job summary

DRW is seeking a Risk Product Analyst to work with Portfolio Managers, Traders and Quants across multiple desks and asset classes. The role sits at the intersection of trading, risk, and technology, focusing on proactive problem identification and fast resolution of issues in risk/valuation systems.

You will diagnose issues across applications, APIs, databases and services, build automation in Python, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve workflows and risk

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of financial products (cash instruments, futures, swaps, options) and markets.
• Experience in trade support, trading technology, production support, or related roles in a production trading environment.
• Ability to write Python and SQL to diagnose issues and reconcile data.
• Familiarity with production diagnostic tooling (log aggregation, dashboards, monitoring, alerting).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to narrow down issue sources.
• Effective communication with a varied audience including PMs, traders, researchers, engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quant Researchers across desks and asset classes as the primary contact for risk/valuation issues.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in risk and valuation systems across the full technology stack.
• Monitor system and trading issues and prioritize incidents by potential impact to trading and P&L.
• Escalate to engineering or infrastructure teams with clear, reproducible diagnoses.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to identify recurring problems and drive tech solutions.
• Develop Python scripts to automate diagnostics, analyze data, and improve workflows.
• Build understanding of the firm’s trading and risk infrastructure and dependencies across systems.
