Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Risk Manager for an initial twelve-month assignment with the option to extend.

You will be responsible for establishing a consistent, proportionate and evidence-based approach to the identification, assessment, ownership, treatment, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues across portfolio, programme and project activity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of risk management experience on delivery programmes.
• Experience with major complex projects (£200–£500m).
• Background in infrastructure programmes/projects.
• Experience in project controls.
• NEC4 contracts experience is desirable.
• Experience with the government Yellow Book is desirable.

About the role:

You will be responsible for establishing a consistent, proportionate and evidence-based approach to the identification, assessment, ownership, treatment, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues across portfolio, programme and project activity.

The ideal candidate will hold Active SC clearance and have a strong background in delivery Risk Management support, with the following skills and experience:

• Extensive Risk Management Experience (5+ years)
• Experience working major complex projects (circa £200 - £500million)
• Experience of working on infrastructure programmes/projects.
• Experience in project controls
• Experience with NEC4 contracts (Desirable)
• Experience with the government yellow book (Desirable)
