Job summary

Premier Foods in Manchester City Centre (Hybrid) is seeking a Risk & Governance Specialist to strengthen governance, controls and risk management within Financial Operations, covering Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

You will collaborate with Finance, Internal Audit and Compliance teams, lead remediation efforts, and drive continuous improvement while building strong relationships across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience within Financial Operations, Risk, Governance, Audit, Controls or Compliance environments.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting audit activities and remediation plans.

Responsibilities

• Support and continuously improve governance and control frameworks across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Coordinate sanctions compliance activities and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Lead audit remediation plans with clear ownership and timely delivery.
• Investigate customer audit claims and contractual disputes with stakeholders.
• Partner with operational, commercial and finance teams to strengthen controls and reduce risk.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to improve governance standards and control effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and governance across Financial Operations.
